About me

Hi my name’s Steve Clark. That’s me running a 10K to help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care…

I am a qualified Fitness Instructor, Level 3 UK:a Endurance Coach and qualified in Nutrition and Weight Management. I’ve just turned 60, I’m 5’ 10” and I weigh 154lb of which 85% is lean tissue (15% body fat). My best half marathon time is 1 Hr. 46mins in 2005.

Lifestyle choice

So yes, I consider myself pretty fit. But being fit and healthy is more than my hobby or pastime it’s my lifestyle choice. I have been a road runner for nearly 30 years, covering distances from 5k up to Marathons and beyond. About 2 years ago I began to find road running a bit one-dimensional and started to break into Triathlon. I love riding a bike but my swimming is pretty awful so I’m having to work at it. I am finding training in 3 disciplines tough but very enjoyable. I currently work with the beginners group at Bedford Harriers Running Club. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing how quickly people can improve, can change their lives and become fitter. Hence this web site – my attempt to share my knowledge and experiences with the wide world.

I hope it’s helpful. If you have any comments send them to steve@fitterme.co.uk and I’ll do my best to incorporate them into the site.
