About Me
Hi my names Steve Clark. That’s me walking up Skiddaw with my wife and family on holiday in the Lake District…
I am a qualified Fitness Instructor, Level 3 UK:a Endurance Coach and qualified in Nutrition and Weight Management. I’ve just turned 60, I’m 5’ 10” and I weigh 154lb of which 85% is lean tissue (15% body fat). My best half marathon time is 1 Hr. 46mins in 2005.
Life style choice
So yes, I consider myself pretty fit. But being fit and healthy is more than my hobby or pastime it’s my life style choice. I have been a road runner for nearly 30 years, covering distances from 5k up to Marathons and beyond. About 2 years ago I began to find road running a bit one dimensional and started to break into Triathlon. I love riding a bike but my swimming is pretty awful. So I’m having to work at it and I am finding training in 3 disciplines tough but very enjoyable.
I currently work with the beginners group at Bedford Harriers Running Club. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing how quickly people can improve, can change their lives and become fitter. Hence this web site; my attempt to share my knowledge and experiences with the wide world.
I hope it’s helpful. If you have any comments send them to steve@fitta.me.uk and I’ll do my best to incorporate them in the site.
